Last summer, TARZA & JANE teamed up with BERON Fashion for an editorial photoshoot in the vibrant heart of a major city, where art, style, and urban energy collided in a spectacular way. TARZA & JANE's bold, colorful latex pieces met the sleek, understated black designs of BERON Fashion, creating a striking contrast that spoke volumes on the power of individual style. Friends from both brands joined the scene, each with their own unique look and confidence, creating an atmosphere buzzing with excitement.
As we moved into the city center, the streets transformed into an impromptu runway. With one friend pumping catwalk beats from a ghetto blaster, we embraced spontaneity, holding a pop-up fashion show that drew the attention of curious passers-by. Our photographer captured the scene like a seasoned catwalk photographer, snapping each strut and pose, each angle of this audacious blend of fashion. It was a celebration of bravery, a call for empowerment, and a testament to the freedom of personal expression.
For those watching, the scene was likely as inspiring as it was provocative. Some seemed captivated by the boldness and the courage it took to step out so unapologetically. Others may have felt challenged, nudged to question their own boundaries in fashion and self-expression. We could sense the curiosity, even slight discomfort in some faces, as people saw colors, cuts and materials that broke away from the expected norms. It was a moment that didn’t just entertain; it encouraged onlookers to reflect on what fashion could mean beyond utility and conformity.
By the end, we’d not only created stunning visuals but also sparked conversations and stirred emotions. TARZA & JANE and BERON Fashion brought a powerful blend of elegance and edge, making a statement that fashion can be both art and a call to fearless authenticity.
With this exciting experience we were a proud part of Anja Abels' project '200 Days of Dancing City Mönchengladbach' (project web page, Instagram, city, province), by the way!
